Kawimaningsiliu representing Peren district of Nagaland has been crowned ‘Miss Nagaland 2021’ at the grand Miss Nagaland Beauty Pageant 2021 ceremony, held on Monday at the Regional Centre of Excellence for Music & Performing Arts (RCEMPA), Jotsoma.
Organized by the Beauty & Aesthetic Society of Nagaland (BASN), the event was powered by the state Tourism Department, and the Task Force of Music & Arts (TaFMA), and supported by the Election Commission of Nagaland.
According to DIPR report, Kawimaningsiliu also clinched the sub-title of ‘Queen of Hearts’.
This event marked the continuing celebrations BASN’s 30th anniversary.
Zuchobeni Tungoe hosted the event, which was divided into 3 different rounds namely the ethnic round, the designer wear round and the evening gown round.
Meanwhile, Lika Chophy from Zunheboto district and Lovi Awomi from Dimapur were adjudged as the first and second runners up respectively.
Winner of Miss Nagaland was awarded a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, who will now act as the brand ambassador of Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), while the runners up received an amount of Rs 70, 000, and Rs 50,000 respectively.
Out of the 12 contestants, Lika Chophy also bagged ‘Miss Perfect 10’ sub-title, and Lovi Awomi have been adjudged with the sub-title of ‘Miss beautiful skin’.
Furthermore, the sub-title of ‘Miss Empower’ and ‘Miss Photogenic’ were clinched by Sharon Singson, and Akumla Jamir respectively. The sub-title of ‘Miss Talent’ was won by Kewasha Lorin.
The sub-title of ‘Miss Multimedia’ was jointly won by Thejakhrienuo Nakhro & Naghophukali Swu.
Its worthy to note that a total of 12 contestants vied for the coveted title. Theja Sekhose attended the event as its official choreographer while the official designer for the evening was Alemla Ozukum.
