Agartala, July 09, 2022 : TIPRA Motha chairman and MDC Pradyot Manikya Kishore Debbarman on Saturday urged the Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha to convene a review meeting and address the issues of TTAADC (Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council) at the earliest as development of whole state is impossible without ADC.

A delegation of the ruling TIPRA Motha leaders in TTAADC on Saturday had a courtesy meet with the Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha at Civil Secretariat here. Pradyot, who is also the royal scion of Tripura was accompanied by the TTAADC chairman Jagadish Debbarma, Deputy Chief Executive Member Animesh Debbarma, CEO Chandra Kumar Jamatia.

Speaking to media persons at Civil Secretariat premises here, MDC Pradyot said “According to the protocol of the TTAADC administration, we are here to greet the new Chief Minister of the state and apprised him about the ADC. We urged him to go for a thorough reviewing of the ADC areas in Tripura.”

“Now, a new person is assigned for this constitutional post of the Chief Minister. In ADC, there are many issues and problems which needs to be addressed as soon as possible. We demanded to the Chief Minister to look into our requirements in a new form”, he added.

Pradyot also said “Politics is at one place and administration is a separate thing. Everything cannot be linked up with politics. You need to develop the entire Tripura and hence, the whole state cannot be developed leaving ADC behind.”

Being asked about the Chief Minister’s reply, the MDC said “CM Dr Saha will convene a review meeting and we will send him an official letter to review the situation of ADC in Tripura with the presence of higher officials of all departments including TTAADC administration to point out the problems and ways to address those will be discussed.”

“The village council elections is left in Tripura. On this matter also, review would be done. Ruling BJP cannot say ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Bikas’ unless ADC is developed”, he further added.
