Tripura Registers Surge In COVID-19 Infections; Active Caseload Stands At 77

Agartala, October 14, 2022 : Tripura has registered a drastic surge in COVID-19 infections, with the daily infections rising from 1.62 percent to 4.52 percent. While, the number of active patients currently stands at 77.

In the last 24 hours, the daily infection tally has surpassed the number of COVID-19 samples been tested across the state. COVID-19 infection was found in 22 people in the last 24 hours. As a result, the number of active patients has increased to 77, while 2 people have recovered and no deaths have been reported. Meanwhile, Gomati district has once again led the way in district-wise daily infections.

According to the health department’s media bulletin, samples from 487 people have been tested through rapid antigen, which detected the infection in 22 people. As a result, the daily infection rate has now risen to 4.52 percent.

As a result, there are currently 77 active patients in Tripura. Incidentally, 1,07,884 people have been infected with COVID-19 in Tripura so far. Among them, 1,06,802 people have recovered after getting rid of the infection. Currently, the rate of infections in the state is 4.15 percent. Likewise, the recovery rate has increased to 99.00 percent. Meanwhile, the death rate was 0.87 percent. Besides, 936 people have so far died due to the infections.

In the media bulletin of the health department, it is also revealed that within the last 24 hours, 6 people have been infected with the contagious virus in West district, 1 person each in Sepahijala district, Khowai district and South district, 8 people in Gomati district, and 5 people in Unakoti district. No one has been infected with corona in the last 24 hours in the remaining two districts.
