A pre-feasibility study is scheduled to be conducted for the new greenfield project on October 27-28. This was informed to the division bench of the Meghalaya High Court on Friday.
“Let this case appear four weeks hence, as the matter was directed to appear today for determining about the preliminary exercise undertaken for the new greenfield project,” – stated the court.
The order also noted that the Airport Authority of India (AAI) highlighted about some initial payment to be made by the state administration.
Responding to the order, the state government claimed that a payment of Rs 23.60 lakh had already been made, while the remaining initial costs for the pre-feasibility study will be covered, without any impediment.
“Aerial or drone images should be immediately commissioned, so that false allegations that are likely to arise may be dealt with effectively,” – it said.
The next hearing on the matter will be held on November 11.
