Tripura Government Identifies 156 Schools; To Be Developed Under PM-SHRI Scheme: Education Minister

Agartala, October 20, 2022 : The Tripura Government has identified 156 schools as model schools under the Pradhan Mantri SHRI Yojana. While nearly 36 more schools will introduce the Chakma language, said Education minister Ratan Lal Nath on Wednesday.

Addressing a press conference in Agartala on Wednesday, the Education minister said that the state government identified two schools from 58 blocks and 20 urban local bodies in Tripura under PM-SHRI Yojana. The central budget for the implementation of this project is Rs 27 thousand 360 crores.

The central government will select 14,500 schools across the nation as model schools under this Yojana. Identification of these schools is likely to be completed as soon as possible.

It will boost the quality of education among the students as well as the quality of the learning environment.

“These include two secondary schools, two higher secondary schools, six primary schools, and 26 lower primary schools,” – he added.
