The budding author from Arunachal Pradesh – Karlina Riba passed away on Sunday in Itanagar, after battling with a prolonged illness.
Born on November 7, 1992, Karlina originally belonged to Padi, an enchanting mountainous village under Lepa Rada circle.
Her first book ‘Climb on Your Tears’, was published in 2021.
Karlina pursued her graduation in Law from Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Law in Navi Mumbai (Mumbai University) in 2016, and received Masters degree in Constitutional and Administrative Law from Symbiosis Law School of Pune in 2018.
Besides, a practicing advocate, Karlina also served as the IPR secretary of the Galo Welfare Society’s (GWS) Women Wing.
The Arunachal Chief Minister – Pema Khandu condoled the untimely demise of the young promising writer. “Saddened to learn of the demise of Karlina Riba, a very young and budding writer belonging to Padi village. With her first book Climb on Your Tears, Riba was confident of making a mark in the literary world. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaving family. My prayers.” he wrote.

In a condolence message, the President – Yeshe Dorjee Thongchi and General Secretary – Mukul Pathak of Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society (APLS) condoled the untimely demise of Karlina at such a young age.
