Commemorating the Constitution Day, the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) organized a day-long celebration, which commenced with Preamble Reading in Hindi & English.
Besides, a Slogan Writing Competition, based on this year’s Constitution Day theme – “India – the Mother of Democracy” was organized. Followed by the competition, officials of Ministry of DoNER conducted an interactive discussion about the Constitution of India.
A quiz based on India and the Constitution of India was also conducted by the Ministry of DoNER. All the officers and staffs actively participated in the day-long celebrations. Standees and posters have been displayed prominently throughout the premises of MDoNER.

It is worth noting that the ‘Constitution Day’ also known as ‘Samvidhan Divas’, is celebrated annually on November 26 to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. The Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India on November 26, 1949, which came into effect from January 26, 1950.
