KOHIMA, 24th April, 2023: Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying Dr. L. Murugan observed Nagaland as a developed and modernised State. During a brief interaction with DPRO Dimapur before departure to New Delhi yesterday, Dr Murugan admitted that he projected Nagaland to be an under- developed state.
However, that was changed after visiting several parts of the state. He commented that Nagaland is developed and modernised and has a huge potential in the tourism sector. The Union Minister also observed that piggery and fishery sectors has a high scope in Nagaland and asked the concern departments for sending proposals focussing on uplifting the entrepreneurs.
Dr. Murugan tagged Nagaland as a beautiful place with rich cultural traditions and assured that he would definitely come back to Nagaland during the Hornbill Festival.
