Guwahati, July 24, 2023: In a recent incident, Bengaluru Police took a 36-year-old woman, Junti Das, into custody on July 23 for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, Jogesh (35), during a heated argument. The situation escalated, leading Junti to impulsively attack Jogesh, resulting in significant bleeding.

Prompt action by concerned neighbors ensured that Jogesh was rushed to St. John’s Hospital, where doctors confirmed his condition to be critical. Both Junti and Jogesh originate from Assam.

According to reliable sources, Junti Das had been living with her 16-year-old daughter, Jigani, since her divorce three years ago. While working at a daycare center, she met Jogesh, a watchman, in 2021 through a mutual friend. Their romantic relationship spanned two years.

However, their relationship soured over time, and frequent quarrels arose as Junti accused Jogesh of neglecting her while he started seeing other women.

Following the stabbing, Junti attempted to evade authorities by heading to Assam, but the Bengaluru Police tracked her down at her relatives’ residence in Wilson Garden, leading to her arrest.
