Agartala, July 17, 2024: In a decisive move against unlawful establishments, the Bharat Ratna Sangh Club at Usha Bazar, built illegally on government land, was demolished by authorities at 7 AM on Wednesday morning.

The operation was led by West Tripura district’s DM Dr. Vishal Kumar and the Superintendent of Police marks a stern warning to those engaged in anti-social activities.

Dr. Vishal Kumar stated, “The notice to demolish the Bharat Ratna Sangh Club building was issued by the prosecution because the building was constructed on government land. The demolition was executed this morning with bulldozers.”

He further announced that the state government plans to establish a primary health center on the cleared land, which will benefit local residents. “This new health center will greatly serve the community,” Dr. Kumar added.

Highlighting the club’s nefarious activities, Dr. Kumar said, “This club was involved in various incidents in the area, including anti-social activities, land brokering, extortion, and illicit negotiations. The demolition order was issued following thorough investigations.”

In a stern message to wrongdoers, Dr. Kumar warned, “Legal action will be taken by the prosecution against those involved in anti-social activities in the state. This operation serves as a clear message that such activities will not be tolerated.”
