Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Meets With Journalists, Assures Support And Welfare Initiatives

Itanagar, Aug 6: In a significant move, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu met with journalists from the Arunachal Press Club (APC) and Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ) at the Secretariat office today. The meeting, also attended by IPR Minister Nyato Dukam, focused on the welfare and concerns of working journalists in the state.

CM Khandu acknowledged the vital role of journalists in a democracy, stating that they play a crucial part in ensuring accountability and effective functioning of the democratic system. He assured the journalists that the state government is committed to supporting them and has initiated various measures to improve their working conditions and quality of life.

These initiatives include providing proper office infrastructure, government-sponsored medical insurance, pension schemes, housing benefits, and other welfare measures. CM Khandu’s assurance is seen as a positive step towards creating a conducive environment for journalists to perform their duties effectively in Arunachal Pradesh.
