Mizoram’s Sialsuk Village Wins Best Tourism Village Award

Aizawl, Sept 27: Sialsuk village in Mizoram has been conferred the Best Tourism Village award in the Community Based Tourism category at the 2024 Best Tourism Village Competition.

The prestigious award was presented in New Delhi on the occasion of World Tourism Day by the Vice President of India and the Union Minister of Tourism and Culture.

Baryl Vanneihsangi Tlau, MLA, Lalrozama, IAS, Secretary, Tourism, and VC Members, Sialsuk, along with officials from the Tourism Department, received the award.

The Best Tourism Village Competition is an initiative by the Ministry of Tourism to promote tourism in India’s villages.

The competition recognizes villages that preserve and promote cultural and natural assets through community-based values and sustainability.

This achievement highlights Mizoram’s efforts in promoting rural tourism and showcasing its natural beauty and cultural heritage.
