Sikkim: DGBR Lt. Gen. Visits Sikkim To Assess Infrastructure Development

Gangtok, Oct 4: On October 3, Lt. Gen. Raghu Srinivasan, Director General of Border Roads (DGBR), began a three-day visit to North and East Sikkim to review ongoing road restoration and construction initiatives.

On the first day, he received a briefing from Brigadier Manoj Gupta, Chief Engineer of Project Swastik, who provided updates on various restoration efforts and the proposed National Highway Double Lane project under the Bharatmala Pariyojana initiative.

Lt. Gen. Srinivasan assessed the current state of infrastructure projects, focusing on both progress and challenges encountered on-site.

Additionally, he met with State Governor Om Prakash Mathur and Chief Minister P.S. Tamang in Gangtok to discuss developments and future plans for road infrastructure in the region.
