Aizawl, Oct 30: The construction of Mizoram’s first multi-speciality hospital, the 3Gen Global Healthcare facility, was officially inaugurated by Speaker Lalbiakzama at Falkland Hall. This significant initiative aims to improve healthcare services in the state and the Northeast by introducing robotic surgery and airlift ambulance services.
In his address, Speaker Lalbiakzama highlighted the essential role of healthcare, education, and public safety in driving development. He pointed out the healthcare challenges faced by residents, often requiring them to seek treatment outside the state. The 3Gen hospital is expected to offer advanced medical procedures, including eye transplants and robotic surgeries, which have been unavailable locally.
The hospital is projected to create numerous job opportunities for local youth and retain healthcare spending within Mizoram, thereby reducing reliance on out-of-state medical facilities. Lalbiakzama expressed confidence that the facility will serve as a crucial resource for the community, enhancing both health outcomes and economic stability.
The ceremony, chaired by VT Maduhi, included remarks from Rev. Timothy T Nunthanga and prayers led by Rev. Zionvarmawia.
