Guwahati, Nov 23: Eight people were killed and three others critically injured in two separate road accidents in Assam on Saturday, police said.

In Bajali district, five people died and two others were seriously injured when their vehicle collided with a stationary truck. In another incident in Dhubri district, three people lost their lives, and one person was severely injured when their vehicle hit a stationary truck near Garehat in Agomoni area.

Police are investigating the incidents to determine the causes.
