Itanagar, Nov 26: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has announced the establishment of a medical college, nursing college, and fishery institute in Namsai district. The initiative, revealed on Monday, aims to strengthen the region’s educational infrastructure and position Namsai as a key educational hub in the state.

Earlier this month, Khandu also shared the government’s plan to build three new medical colleges, with one of them earmarked for Namsai. Currently, Arunachal Pradesh has only one medical college, located in Naharlagun, near the state capital Itanagar. These new institutions are expected to improve access to higher education and vocational training, particularly in healthcare and fisheries sectors, benefiting the local population and the region at large.
