Imphal, Nov 27: The Manipur government has announced that schools and colleges in districts under curfew will remain closed indefinitely starting from November 27. The closure affects Imphal East and West, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Kakching, and Jiribam districts.

This decision comes in response to heightened tensions following the discovery of the bodies of three women and three children in the Jiri and Barak rivers in Manipur and Assam. Educational institutions in these areas have been closed since November 16, and the closure will continue until further notice.
