Assam Police Seize 76,000 Yaba Tablets In Sribhumi, Three Arrested

Assam Police have arrested three individuals and seized 76,000 Yaba tablets during a raid in the Patel Nagar area of Sribhumi, Assam. The operation was part of the state’s ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the operation, stating that the police intercepted two vehicles coming from a neighboring state, leading to the seizure of the drugs. The three suspects have been apprehended and are currently in custody.

In a related development, the Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Customs Department, seized 1,000 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine (ICE) in a joint operation in Badharghat, Tripura. The drugs, valued at approximately Rs 16 crore, were handed over to the Customs Department for further investigation.
