Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on December 2 to discuss various developmental issues and seek support for initiatives aimed at enhancing Assam’s growth and infrastructure.
During the meeting, CM Sharma presented PM Modi with traditional Assamese gifts, including a Phulam Gamusa and White Tea, symbolizing Assam’s rich cultural heritage. The Chief Minister also invited the Prime Minister to attend two major events in Guwahati in February 2025: the Assam Investor and Infrastructure Summit and the Mega Jhumur Performance.
After the meeting, CM Sharma expressed his gratitude on Twitter, saying, “Today in New Delhi, I had the privilege to receive Adarniya Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji’s guidance on various developmental issues.” He further added, “On behalf of the people of Assam, I invited him to bless the Assam Investor & Infrastructure Summit and Mega Jhumur Performance in February 2025, which he has kindly accepted to attend.”
