Guwahati, Dec 11: Assam Police have apprehended two Bangladeshi nationals, Simu Begum and Md. Ujjal, for attempting to illegally cross the India-Bangladesh border. The individuals were detained in a border area of Assam and were subsequently pushed back across the border to Bangladesh.

This arrest underscores the state’s ongoing efforts to tighten border security and prevent illegal infiltration. Assam Police have reiterated their commitment to maintaining the integrity of the international border.
