Shillong, Dec 13: A Bangladeshi national was arrested by the Border Security Force (BSF) near the SHQ BSF Jowai office in Shillong for illegally crossing the India-Bangladesh border. The individual, who had entered India in search of better job opportunities amid the unrest in Bangladesh, was detained upon crossing the border without authorization.

The arrest followed intelligence-based surveillance, and the individual is currently under questioning by BSF officials. The BSF has increased vigilance along the border to curb illegal immigration and enhance security.
