Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha emphasized the crucial role played by elected local representatives in ensuring that welfare schemes effectively reach all sections of society. The CM made these remarks while distributing benefits to approximately 3,000 beneficiaries at a program held at Dasamighat Ground in Nalchar on Thursday.
During the event, Saha also inaugurated a mobile testing van and an ambulance, both initiatives supported by local MLA Kishore Barman. The Chief Minister highlighted the state government’s commitment to improving the rural economy through various targeted development programs.
Saha further pointed out that the implementation of central and state government schemes aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for rural development. He noted that Tripura’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) is outperforming many other states, reflecting strong socio-economic growth, particularly in rural areas.
The Chief Minister distributed documents outlining the benefits of various welfare schemes to the beneficiaries. The event was attended by several prominent officials, including Supriya Das Dutta, Sabhadhipati of Sepahijala Zilla Parishad, District Magistrate Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, SP Sepahijala BJ Reddy, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Rupan Das.
