Four armed men were arrested on Thursday night in Churachandpur district on charges of extortion. The arrests were made in a joint operation conducted by the district police and the Assam Rifles near Songpi village.

The suspects were reportedly attempting to extort money from local residents when they were apprehended. The individuals are currently in custody, and further investigations are ongoing.
