Agartala, Dec 16: In a series of successful operations, the Border Security Force (BSF) in Tripura has seized contraband goods valued at over ₹75 lakh along the Indo-Bangladesh border on December 15, 2024.
BSF personnel intercepted a range of illegal items, including Ganja, Phensedyl, sugar, and other contraband worth ₹10,01,137. These seizures were made at various border locations, underscoring the BSF’s continued vigilance in curbing illegal cross-border trade.
In another significant operation in the Harihardola area, the BSF seized clothing items worth ₹5,86,150, disrupting regional smuggling networks.
The largest recovery took place in NC Nagar, where the BSF seized 6,000 Yaba tablets, valued at ₹60 lakh, preventing a major narcotics trafficking attempt.
These successful crackdowns highlight the BSF’s ongoing commitment to securing the Indo-Bangladesh border and preventing the flow of illicit goods and drugs into India.
