Sikkim CM Attends Barahimizong Celebrations, Pledges To Preserve Cultural Heritage

Gangtok, Dec 17: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang Golay on Tuesday attended the vibrant Barahimizong celebrations at Kamling Senior Secondary School in Suldung-Kamling. The event was a heartfelt tribute to Sikkim’s cherished traditions, reflecting the deep bond between the people and their cultural heritage.

CM Golay emphasized the government’s commitment to preserving and promoting Sikkim’s rich cultural legacy. He pledged to continue supporting organizations dedicated to safeguarding the state’s cultural and traditional heritage. Golay also encouraged the people to take pride in their traditions by wearing and promoting traditional attire.

The Chief Minister also announced plans to develop Suldung into a tourist destination, transforming it into a picturesque Mangar village-style homestay hub. This initiative aims to create an immersive cultural experience for visitors by blending traditional architecture and lifestyle with modern amenities.
