Imphal, Dec 18: Five improvised explosive devices (IEDs), weighing a total of 21.5 kg, were discovered in Manipur’s Imphal East district. The recovery was made on Tuesday during a joint operation by the Spear Corps and state police near Maphitel Ridge, close to Monglham.

A trained canine played a vital role in locating the explosives, according to authorities. The discovery comes amid ongoing security concerns in the region, which has experienced rising unrest in recent months.
