Professor Sarit K. Chaudhuri, the former Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Rajiv Gandhi University in Arunachal Pradesh, has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of Alipurduar University in West Bengal. This prestigious appointment brings recognition to both Rajiv Gandhi University and the state of Arunachal Pradesh.

Known for his significant academic contributions, Professor Chaudhuri has played a leading role in the “Unsung Heroes Project,” which focused on the untold stories of freedom fighters in India’s independence movement.
