Security forces conducted extensive search and area domination operations in the vulnerable and fringe areas of hill and valley districts, leading to the recovery of a significant cache of arms and explosives from two locations in Manipur.

In a search operations at Nungbram Village and Lairok Vaiphei Village in Imphal East District led to the recovery of the following items 1 Russian RPD Machine Gun (7.62mm), 1 INSAS Rifle (5.56mm) with two magazines, 1 Pistol (0.32) with a magazine, 1 Single Barrel Gun (12 Bore), 2 Pompi Guns and 1 Pompi Cell, 1 Mortar (2″), Explosive weighing 2.5 kg, 2 Hand Grenades and 2 WP Hand Grenades, 1 Improvised Mortar Shell (60mm), 2 Heavy Shells (82mm), 1 High-Calibre Launcher (60mm), 60 live rounds (7.62mm), 40 live rounds (5.56mm), 3 rounds (32mm), 2 cartridges (12 Bore) and 2 Tube Launching Devices

In another operation conducted near Nepali Khutti, Laimaton Thangbuh in Kangpokpi District, security forces recovered 1 Modified .303 Sniper Rifle, 1 .22 Rifle, 2 Single Barrel Rifles, 1 Pistol (9mm), 1 IED, 1 Detonator, 1 Safety Fuse (10m), 1 Commercial Explosive (100g), 62 Anti-Riot Shells and 1 Dummy Shell, 5 Cartridges (12 Bore), 1 live round (.303) and 2 Tube Launching Devices.
