Imphal, Dec 20: The governments of Manipur and Uttar Pradesh have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to implement the ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’ programme, aimed at fostering cultural exchange and mutual understanding between the two states.
The programme focuses on enhancing interactions in areas such as language, culture, traditions, music, tourism, cuisine, sports, and sharing best practices. The initiative seeks to build sustained cultural connections between people from different states and Union Territories.
The MoU, which will be effective for three years, was signed during an event in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. It is expected to strengthen the cultural and social ties between Uttar Pradesh and Manipur.
