Union Home Minister Amit Shah Inaugurates 72nd NEC Plenary Session In Agartala

The 72nd Plenary Session of the North Eastern Council (NEC) commenced on Saturday at Pragna Bhavan, Agartala, under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The two-day conference brings together Governors, Chief Ministers, and senior officials from Northeastern states to discuss and prioritize developmental strategies for the region. Union Minister for Development of the North Eastern Region (DoNER) Jyotiraditya Scindia and Union Minister of State Dr. Sukanta Majumder were also in attendance.

As part of the agenda, Amit Shah is scheduled to participate in four key events today, including the NEC plenary session, the North East Banker Conclave, and the 12th Meeting of the North Eastern Space Application Centre.

On December 22, the Union Home Minister is set to visit the Amabassa subdivision in Dhalai district, where he will engage with internally displaced members of the Bru community.
