With over 71,000 appointment letters handed out to young candidates, Sonowal praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his leadership in creating job opportunities and fostering youth contributions to the nation’s progress.
The ‘Rozgar Mela,’ organized by the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, featured a virtual address by Prime Minister Modi, who reiterated the government’s dedication to transparency in recruitment and job creation. The event marked the 14th phase of distributing appointment letters to newly selected candidates.
Held at 45 locations across India, the event included the Border Security Force (BSF) overseeing 16 sites. In Jalandhar, the event was presided over by Atul Fulzele, IPS, Inspector General of BSF Punjab Frontier, along with other dignitaries. The appointments covered various positions in the BSF, CRPF, SSB, EPFO, and other government departments.
Earlier, Sonowal chaired a meeting in Dibrugarh to review the progress of the Dibrugarh Airport runway expansion. He emphasized the region’s transformative development under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership since 2014, with the airport serving as a crucial gateway to Northeast India’s economic growth.
