In a series of successful operations, Border Security Force (BSF) troops in Tripura have thwarted multiple smuggling attempts along the Indo-Bangladesh Border. On the night of December 29-30, 2024, BSF personnel seized contraband goods worth ₹12,79,220, including ganja, clothes, sugar, and other prohibited items, along with 1,02,000 Bangladeshi Taka.

In a separate operation at BOP Bolaitila, BSF forces intercepted a smuggling bid and seized spectacle frames valued at ₹12,84,000, intended for illegal transport to Bangladesh.
