Vijay Bhusan Pathak, who recently retired as the Chief Secretary of Sikkim, has been appointed as the Chief Administrator-cum-Cabinet Secretary of the state, effective January 1, 2025. This appointment comes just a day after his retirement from the position of Chief Secretary on December 31, 2024.
Pathak, a respected former IAS officer, will now hold the status of a Cabinet Minister and is expected to utilize his vast administrative experience to guide the governance of the state.
Ravindra Telang, a 1995-batch IAS officer, has been named the new Chief Secretary, succeeding Pathak in the role.
