Security forces recovered a cache of arms and ammunition during a search operations and area domination exercise from Loibol Khunou in Kangpokpi district.

The recovered items include 01 (one) 7.62mm Sniper Rifle (Modified), 01 (one) Improvised Long Range Mortar (Pumpi), 03 (three) 9mm Pistols with 03 (three) Magazines, 01 (one) 12 Bore Gun, 01 (one) SBBL Gun, 10 (ten) live rounds of ammunition, 03 (three) No. 36 Hand Grenades, 03 (three) Picket Grenades (Anti-Riot), 02 (two) Tear Smoke Grenades (Anti-Riot) and 01 (one) Wireless Set (Motorola).

The operation is part of ongoing efforts by security forces to maintain law and order, curbing illegal activities in the conflict-sensitive areas of Manipur.
