Namchi, Jan 6: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang inaugurated a newly built home for senior citizen Ms. Jas Maya Rai in Lower Barfung on Monday. The house was constructed following a request made by Ms. Rai during a public meeting in Jorethang last year, where she expressed the need for a safe and dignified living space.

Built under the Sikkim Garib Awas Yojana, the home reflects the government’s commitment to improving the lives of its citizens. “This home stands as a testament to our dedication to uplifting the lives of our people,” said Chief Minister Tamang. He emphasized that such initiatives inspire the government to continue working with compassion and dedication for the well-being of its citizens.
