Sikkim Governor Commits To Supporting The Growth Of World Cup Indian Kho Kho In The State

Gangtok, Jan 6: The Governor of Sikkim, Om Prakash Mathur, met with the General Secretary of the Sikkim State Kho Kho Association, Sabitri Pradhan, and other members at Raj Bhavan on 6th January to discuss the development of World Cup Indian Kho Kho in Sikkim.

During the meeting, Pradhan informed the Governor about the increasing enthusiasm for the sport in the state, highlighting the achievement of Palmu Sherpa, a Sikkimese athlete selected for the World Cup Indian Kho Kho camp in New Delhi. She also shared the Association’s ongoing efforts to promote Kho Kho across Sikkim.

The Governor expressed his full support for the sport, particularly in schools, and assured the Association of his backing. He reaffirmed his commitment to advancing sports development in Sikkim and wished the Kho Kho Association success in its future initiatives.
