Itanagar, Jan 9: Arunachal Pradesh has achieved a major milestone in its education sector, with the state’s Adjusted Net Enrolment Rate (ANER) for elementary education reaching 100%. Additionally, the dropout rate at the secondary school level has been reduced to 11.7%, as reported by Chief Minister Pema Khandu.
Khandu credited these achievements to the collective efforts of “Team Arunachal,” emphasizing that the state’s educational progress aligns with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the goals outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The Chief Minister also lauded the success of initiatives like ‘Building as Learning Aid’ and the establishment of Eklavya Model Residential Schools, which have helped ensure that quality education and modern infrastructure are accessible to all children. These efforts reflect Arunachal Pradesh’s commitment to inclusive, high-quality education for every student.
As per the 2024 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Scoreboard, these advancements contribute to the state’s progress toward achieving global education goals under SDG 4.
