Itanagar, Jan 9: Arunachal Pradesh will participate in the 38th National Games, which are scheduled to take place in Uttarakhand from January 28 to February 14, 2025. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Pema Khandu on social media on Thursday, expressing enthusiasm for the state’s participation in the event.
So far, Arunachal Pradesh has qualified in seven sports disciplines: badminton, boxing, judo, taekwondo, canoeing and kayaking, weightlifting, and wushu. CM Khandu also noted that additional disciplines may be added as the event draws closer, emphasizing the state’s growing talent and the determination of its athletes.
The Chief Minister was briefed on the preparations by Bamang Tago, Secretary General of the Arunachal Olympic Association, and Kipa Ajay, Secretary General of the Arunachal Pradesh Football Association, who also conveyed their warm New Year wishes to the athletes.
CM Khandu extended his best wishes to all the participants, urging them to give their best and represent Arunachal Pradesh with pride on the national stage.
