Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has expanded its fleet by adding 65 new ambulances to support internal operations in Assam. Leased from the Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) for a five-year period, the ambulances will be deployed across ONGC’s operational sites in Sivasagar.
Among the fleet, 63 ambulances are equipped with essential medical features such as foldable seats, swiveling fans, autoloader stretchers, and provisions for 2.2 L oxygen cylinders. These ambulances will be stationed at various operational sites, including drill locations, workover rigs, and production installations.
Additionally, two advanced life support (ALS) ambulances, featuring life-saving equipment such as ventilators, defibrillators, suction pumps, and oxygen delivery systems, will be assigned to ONGC Hospital in Sivasagar and its dispensary in Nazira.
The move underscores ONGC’s commitment to ensuring safety and well-being, reinforcing the company’s focus on providing comprehensive emergency response services to its workforce and stakeholders.
