The Border Security Force (BSF) in Tripura has successfully thwarted several major smuggling attempts along the Indo-Bangladesh border, recovering contraband items valued at over ₹20 lakh. In a series of operations, the BSF seized 240 bottles of Phensedyl, 78 kilograms of Ganja, and other illicit goods worth ₹13,90,826/-.
On the basis of specific intelligence, the BSF apprehended two drug peddlers near Moti Nagar village, seizing 600 Yaba tablets, 4 kilograms of Ganja, and a motorcycle valued at ₹6,99,630/-. The forces also rescued seven cattle being smuggled across the border.
These actions highlight the BSF’s relentless efforts in curbing cross-border smuggling and ensuring the security of the Indo-Bangladesh border.
