“This Joint Declaration represents a commitment to peace, unity, and mutual respect. It is a reflection of the deep-rooted values that have united the Adi and Apatani communities for generations,” Khandu stated.
The Joint Declaration includes resolutions to promote inter-tribe marriages, cultural exchanges, and the rejection of traditional revenge practices. The communities also pledged to work together to prevent communal disputes and encourage peaceful co-existence for the betterment of both tribes and the state.
Home Minister Mama Natung, who attended as the guest of honor, commended the Adi and Apatani communities for setting an exemplary model of unity and cooperation. He called on other communities in Arunachal Pradesh to follow this initiative in building stronger, more cohesive relationships.
