BSF Seizes Contraband Worth ₹9.5 Crore In Multiple Smuggling Operations Along Indo-Bangladesh Border In Tripura

Agartala, Jan 20: The Border Security Force (BSF) in Tripura successfully foiled multiple smuggling attempts along the Indo-Bangladesh border, recovering contraband worth over ₹9.5 crore.

On January 19, 2025, acting on specific intelligence, BSF troops at Border Outpost (BOP) N.C. Nagar intercepted a major smuggling attempt and seized 2000 Yaba tablets, valued at ₹20 lakh. In other operations, BSF personnel confiscated 6 kg of Ganja, 250 kg of sugar, and 140 bottles of Phensedyl. The combined value of all seized items totals ₹9.53 crore.

These successful operations underscore the BSF’s relentless efforts to combat cross-border smuggling and maintain security along the sensitive Indo-Bangladesh border.
