BRO Chief Briefs Manipur Governor On Indo-Myanmar Border Fencing Progress

Director General of Border Roads Organization (BRO), Lt Gen Raghu Srinivasan, met with Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Balla at Raj Bhavan in Imphal on Monday to provide a detailed update on the progress of border fencing along the Indo-Myanmar border.

The DG was accompanied by Major General Ravroop Singh of IGAR (South) and officials from the Border Roads Task Force (BRTF), according to a press communiqué from Raj Bhavan.

During the meeting, Lt Gen Srinivasan emphasized the ongoing efforts to enhance national security and connectivity through the border fencing project.

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs recently announced that approximately 10 km of border fencing near Moreh has been completed, with work underway to fence an additional 21 km in other parts of Manipur. The project is a key initiative to bolster border management and security in the region.
