Mizoram Upa Pawl Leaders Meet Governor To Discuss Senior Citizens’ Welfare And State Development

Aizawl, Jan 29: Leaders of the Mizoram Upa Pawl (MUP), an association representing elderly citizens, met with Governor Gen (Dr) VK Singh at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. The delegation, led by MUP General Headquarters President Pu Nghaklianmawia, congratulated the Governor and extended their best wishes.

During the meeting, the leaders highlighted various concerns regarding the welfare of senior citizens in Mizoram and engaged in discussions about the state’s overall development.

In a separate engagement, Pu Virendra Kumar Jakhar, Executive Director of the NHIDCL Regional Office, also called on the Governor to discuss ongoing and upcoming National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) projects in Mizoram. The Governor emphasized the need for timely project completion, with a special focus on the Sairang-Silchar National Highway, which is vital for improving the state’s connectivity and infrastructure.
