Agartala, February 1, 2025: South Tripura’s renowned youth social activist, Sujit Ghosh, has been nominated for the prestigious ‘Bharat Gaurav National Award’ by Bharat Vikas Sangham in recognition of his significant contributions to social development. The award will be presented at the 7th Indian Cultural Festival, set to take place in Kalaburagi, Karnataka, on February 5. The festival, known for promoting nature-centric development and sustainable progress, will witness the participation of various development and cultural organizations from across the country.
The nine-day grand event will feature panel discussions and exhibitions on key issues including youth development, rural and agricultural growth, nutrition and health, self-employment, and environmental conservation. Experts, policymakers, and social workers will deliberate on strategies to foster sustainable progress.
Sujit Ghosh has been actively involved in social development for the past 15 years, working in diverse areas such as health awareness, child welfare, and livelihood development. His contributions have been instrumental in bringing about positive change in rural communities. Notably, during the devastating floods last year, Sujit Ghosh, along with the Voluntary Health Association of Tripura, played a crucial role in providing relief and medical assistance to affected families.
