Shillong, Feb 6: In a bid to improve healthcare access across the state, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, along with Health Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh, on Thursday launched the Health Shuttle Service. The service, comprising five Urbania vans and five AC buses, is operated by the University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya’s P.A. Sangma International Medical College & Hospital.
The shuttle service will cater to areas within a 50 km radius of the USTM campus, with additional routes connecting Shillong City to the PIMC. The initiative aims to provide improved healthcare access to both rural and urban populations in Meghalaya.
