Assam Rifles, along with the Customs Preventive Force (Champhai), seized 689 cartons of counterfeit Gold Flake cigarettes, valued at Rs 23.42 lakhs, in the general area of Ruantlang, Champhai District, Mizoram.

The operation was carried out based on specific intelligence, and the counterfeit cigarettes were recovered during the interception. An investigation has been launched to trace the source and distribution network of the seized goods.
