Gangtok, Mar 31: Sikkim Chief Minister PS Tamang attended the 18th Raising Day celebration of the 2nd India Reserve Battalion (IRBn) at its headquarters in Pipalay on Monday. He lauded the battalion’s commitment to maintaining law and order in the state.
In a social media message, Tamang highlighted the 2nd IRBn’s role in assisting the district police by providing armed personnel for security duties. He noted that the battalion is also deployed across districts and in other states, particularly during elections, to ensure safety and order.
Extending his congratulations to the personnel, Tamang commended their discipline, dedication, and service to Sikkim and the Sikkim Police. He encouraged them to continue their work with the same passion and integrity.
