Gangtok, Apr 7: Sikkim marked a significant presence at Startup Mahakumbh 2025, held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from April 3 to 5. A delegation led by the Department of Commerce & Industries, Government of Sikkim, brought forward a group of innovative and promising startups under the RAMP Scheme, highlighting the state’s growing entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Among the featured startups were Agapi, Soielife, Katana, Mokawaii, Healbridge, and Topview Info Labs (Ourguest Travels), which showcased solutions spanning sustainability, tourism, wellness, and technology. Their participation earned widespread recognition for their unique business models and community-focused initiatives.
Topview Info Labs Pvt. Ltd., operating as Ourguest Travels (www.ourguest.in), achieved national acclaim by winning the prestigious National Maharathi Challenge in the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) category. The award was presented by Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, honoring the company’s contribution to rural tourism and community-led development.
Founded by Karma Tsechutharpa and Pintso Gyatso, Ourguest is Northeast India’s first Online Travel Aggregator (OTA), offering a curated selection of homestays, farmstays, and guided travel experiences across Sikkim, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, North Bengal, Nagaland, Ladakh, Assam, and Jammu & Kashmir. The platform supports over 600 homestays and 50+ local guides, having served more than 6,000 travelers. The company was also named Best Tour Operator, Sikkim in 2024 by the Sikkim State Tourism Department.
Startup Mahakumbh, a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, is India’s largest event celebrating startups, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The 2025 edition witnessed participation from over 3,000 startups, 1,000 investors, and 10,000 attendees, offering unparalleled networking, funding, and mentorship opportunities.
