Aizawl, Apr 9: Mizoram Sports Minister Lalnghinglova Hmar on Tuesday met with key officials of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) in New Delhi to discuss collaborative efforts aimed at strengthening sports infrastructure and youth development initiatives in the state.

Hmar held separate meetings with Sujata Chaturvedi, Secretary, Department of Sports and Director General of the Sports Authority of India (SAI), and Meeta R. Lochan, Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs, at their respective offices.

During the discussions, the focus was on enhancing the SAI Training Centre in Mizoram, organizing a large-scale youth engagement programme in Aizawl, and creating more opportunities for youth from Mizoram to gain exposure at national and international levels.

The minister shared details of the meetings on social media, describing them as a significant step towards advancing sports and youth-related programmes through increased cooperation between the central and state governments.
